Wisconsin Eddie.....

Named for my buddy Ed Burton, who not-so-wisely sells seeds he should keep & grow himself. Ed had always been touting on Persian Ruby & Robb Cobb, often telling me to get them. I got seeds from him instead. Out of the 6 he sent, grew this gorgeous creature. In order to give credit where credit is due, it is aptly named for the man who lives in Wisconsin & made the cross. Loves ya Ed!

AHS Database:  Height 40 in.(101 cm), bloom 7 in.(17 cm), season MLa, Dormant, Tetraploid, 30 buds, 3 branches, Unusual Form Crispate-Spatulate,  A dark blood red, diamond dusted, open faced bloom, with a large cadmium yellow throat, with a trace of green at the base, darker veining on the petals. Foliage: Darker green & arching.. (Persian Ruby × Rob Cobb)

Wisconsin Kay.....

From seeds obtained from Ed Burton, when I was working with Wonder of it All, came this unique yellow beauty, named for his wife, Kay.  A shorter one for me to register, the blooms sit above the foliage, having a nice floating effect.

Wisconsin Kay is a very frothy yellow, round & ruffled self, displaying darker knobs & hooks at the edges, with the slightest hint of green in the throat.
